DAY 1: Delhi - Arrival Day & Meet and Greet

Arrival at Delhi Airport (DEL): Upon arrival, your pre-booked taxi will transfer you to your hotel. The drive from the airport to a centrally located, locally-owned hotel in Delhi typically covers about 17-20 km, taking approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Check in to your hotel, directly supporting local businesses.
Orientation & Iconic Landmarks: Get an initial orientation of Delhi with visits to iconic landmarks like India Gate, a war memorial, and the impressive Parliament House, showcasing India’s political heart.

DAY 2: Delhi to Agra

Old Delhi Exploration: Begin your day by exploring the vibrant Chandni Chowk, a historic market, either on foot or via a cycle rickshaw. Opting for a cycle rickshaw directly supports local rickshaw pullers. Continue to Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques, offering a glimpse into Mughal architecture and daily life.
Ancient Minaret: Visit Qutub Minar (UNESCO World Heritage Site), a towering minaret and a complex of ancient monuments, showcasing early Indo-Islamic architecture.
Travel to Agra: In the late afternoon, embark on your journey to Agra by private vehicle. The drive is approximately 210-230 km and typically takes around 3.5 to 4.5 hours, depending on traffic.

DAY 3: Agra

Taj Mahal (UNESCO World Heritage Site): Experience an unforgettable sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A local guide will provide deeper insights into its history, architecture, and the poignant love story behind its creation. Witnessing its beauty as the sun rises is a truly magical experience.
Traditional Craft: Visit a local, often family-run, marble inlay workshop. This allows you to witness the traditional craft firsthand and understand the intricate artistry, offering a more authentic experience than large tourist shops. Remember to support fair trade by purchasing directly from these artisans.
Mughal Fort & Tomb: Explore Agra Fort, a magnificent red sandstone fortress that served as a key residence for Mughal emperors. Afterward, visit Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb, often referred to as the “Baby Taj” due to its delicate marble inlay work, a beautiful precursor to the Taj Mahal.

DAY 4: Agra to Dulha Village – Stepwells & Rural Immersion

Drive to Dulha Village: After breakfast, depart for Dulha Village by private vehicle. Enjoy the serene countryside views from your window, as you journey into rural Rajasthan.
Abhaneri & Village Life: En route, stop at Abhaneri Stepwell, specifically Chand Baori. Marvel at this unique and intricate Indian water harvesting system, an architectural wonder. Continue to Dulha Village, where you can take in the calm and quiet rural environment. Embark on a village cycling tour, allowing for direct interaction with locals and a firsthand witness to daily rural life, fostering cultural exchange. The total drive, including the stop, from Agra to Dulha Village is approximately 210-225 km and takes around 4-5 hours.
Campfire & Stars: Relax by a warm campfire under the stars, embracing the tranquility of the village night.

Day 5: Dulha to Jaipur - Pink City & Responsible Souvenirs

Drive to Jaipur: After breakfast, take your vehicle to Jaipur. Enjoy more serene countryside views as you travel. The drive from Dulha Village (near Dausa) to Jaipur is approximately 55-65 km and takes about 1.5-2 hours.
City Palace & Observatory: Upon arrival in Jaipur, visit the grand City Palace, a complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings, part of which is still a royal residence and a museum showcasing Jaipur’s royal heritage. You’ll have the option to visit Jantar Mantar (UNESCO World Heritage Site), a fascinating astronomical observatory.
Old City & Artisan Workshops: Take an orientation walk of the old city of Jaipur, getting familiar with its vibrant streets. Explore the bustling bazaars and workshops, specifically focusing on artisans involved in block printing, jewelry making, and textiles. This approach ensures you are supporting local craftsmen and promoting fair wages for their ethically made products.

Day 6: Jaipur - Forts, Palaces & Community Initiatives

Hawa Mahal & Amer Fort: Make a quick photo stop at Hawa Mahal, the iconic “Palace of Winds,” known for its intricate facade with 953 windows. Continue towards the majestic Amer Fort. For ethical concerns, opt to take a jeep or walk up the ramp instead of elephant rides. Explore the stunning courtyards, palaces, and temples within the fort.
City Palace Exploration: Continue exploring the City Palace, learning more about its history and the royal family who still own and run parts of it as a museum.

Day 7: Jaipur to Delhi

Leisure or Last-Minute Souvenirs: Enjoy some free time in Jaipur for personal exploration, last-minute souvenir shopping, or simply relaxing at your hotel.
Drive to Delhi: In the afternoon, begin your journey back to Delhi by private vehicle. The drive is approximately 260-280 km. Thanks to recent expressway developments, the travel time from Jaipur to the outskirts of Delhi is approximately 3-3.5 hours, with an additional 30-45 minutes to reach central Delhi or the airport, making the total travel time around 3.5-4.5 hours.

Day 8: Departure Day – Delhi

Departure: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Depart anytime today. Your local Indian assistance will be available to help with any travel arrangements or onward journeys, ensuring a smooth departure from Delhi International Airport (DEL).
